Cruising right along!

Yes, it has been awhile since we updated everyone! Well, we had a busy 4th of July. We attended a friend's pool party and cookout and then took the girls to Uncle Randy's lake house on Lake Hartwell. This marked Alexis' first trip out of state to South Carolina! We watched as Heath, Randy, and Heath's nephew Jonas shot off fireworks! We spent the night and on Saturday, McKenzie and Heath went out on the lake with Randy. Mommy and Alexis celebrated her "due date" over a bottle and a nap! McKenzie has kept us busy going back and forth to the library. She's participating in the Summer Reading program and has read (or had read to her) 25 books so far. Last Friday we had family pictures made as well as pictures of the girls. I will post some of them when I get the disc of pictures from the photographer. This past weekend we celebrated Heath's birthday by surprising him with a birthday cake and my lasagna at the fire station. Tomorrow promises to be a busy day as Alexis goes back to the Pediatrician for a check up in the morning and then we'll go to Gainesville for a baby shower that my co-workers are throwing for us. I will update more after Alexis' appointment. We measured her last night and she is approximately 19 inches long. I got on the scales with her recently and it looks like she's about 6 lbs. She has already outgrown some of her preemie clothes! She's growing like a weed and already 7 weeks old!
