Sleepless Nights...
We usually don't succeed in getting Alexis down for the night until somewhere around 11pm and then she's up between 3 and 4am for about an hour and then up around 7:30am. Not bad, however, Monday night was rather rough and to make matters worse, Heath was at work. Alexis finally went to sleep (and quit crying) around 2am so I jumped into bed and drifted right off to sleep. Well, she let me get a "power nap" at most. At 2:30am she was crying again, apparently colic, and did so until 5:30am when either her tummy quit hurting or her body just wore out or a comination of both. Needless to say, when Heath got home around 7:30am and I found out that he had a good night's sleep at work, I handed Alexis off and went back to sleep until noon. The last 2 nights have been better, thank goodness. McKenzie is going to spend the night with Nana and Papa tonight (they've been gone for a week) so hopefully Alexis will sleep so Mommy can get caught up on some of her sleep. Please remember Heath in the morning. He is having his Lasik Eye Surgery tomorrow. We have to be there at 9am. He is thrilled to know that he won't have to wear glasses or contact lenses after his surgery. Some of you may know that he was scheduled to have it done May 23rd, but when I was put in the hospital overnight and then sent home on bedrest before Alexis was born, he had to reschedule. As the time nears, he gets a little more nervous about the surgery. We'll post an update this weekend to let you know how it goes.
