Busy weekend!
We held a little party at our house yesterday, kind of a "Meet and Greet" Baby Alexis for our family and close friends. Alexis did very well as she was passed around quite a bit. Shortly after our guest were gone, she was sacked out! Today McKenzie, Alexis and I spent half the day with my friends Talia and Heather and their children (3 boys and 1 girl). First we went to Little Mulberry Park for some of Talia and Heather's photography of the kids. Then we let the kids "let loose" on the playground. They all had a great time and left sweaty and dirty. We took them to Chick-fil-A for lunch and topped off the day with a trip to Mayfield Dairies for yummy ice cream. Needless to say after all of this they went from "picture perfect" to dirty to filthy. Alexis stayed pretty clean and basically ate and slept. She goes back to the Pediatrician in the morning for her 2 month check up and shots, I think. It's hard to believe that she's 11 weeks old already! We'll update her stats after we get home. Mommy heads back to work on Wednesday after having 12 weeks off for maternity leave. Pray that our entire family transitions well into this new phase. Nana will be keeping the girls 1 day a week when Heath and I are both working. Pray for Nana as she adjusts to keeping (a.k.a. spoiling) two girls! She has already warned Papa that dinner probably won't be ready and on the table when he gets home from work on those days! McKenzie has gotten over her fear of swimming lately and has started jumping in and swimming on her own. She has really enjoyed watching the swimming events in the Olympics. Who knows, she may be our little "Future Olympian"! She starts Pre-K next week. She's excited now, let's hope it stays that way! Well, we should have one more baby in the family tomorrow. Heath's niece, Jennifer, is going to be induced tomorrow. Baby Boy Turner will be the 2nd of 3 expected in the Williams family before December! We sure wish "Granny" was here to help spoil them!
