Sorry we haven't updated our blog in a while. We've been busy adjusting to life as a family of 4. McKenzie is attending Bible School at our church this week and Leanne has been helping prepare and serve dinner to the children at Bible School. We took Alexis by her Pediatrician's office yesterday to weigh her just to make sure she is still gaining weight. We really felt like she should have because in the past 48 hours she has been eating about every hour and a half during the day. Well, she gained 8 ounces in the past 5 days. She now weighs in at a whole 4lbs. 11oz. Way to go Alexis! We took Alexis to church for the first time on Father's Day. The girls were so cute in their matching dresses. McKenzie got a navy sailor's dress in the Spring from her Nana that came with a matching dress for one of her baby dolls. Well, I guess you could say Alexis was the baby doll because she wore the baby doll's dress. They were so cute.
We also had to take Alexis' monitor for a download yesterday. They transmit the data to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta who views the information and sends a report back to the Pediatrician. CHOA called this am and said that they saw nothing abnormal on the download. The pediatrician told us last week that unless she had any "episodes" between now and then, we could take the monitor off on her due date, July 5th, so it looks like we are on target. She also told us that as long as we are holding or watching her that we didn't have to keep the monitor on, so we are trying to give her some "free time" throughout the day without the monitor belt around her chest.
Heath went back to work today, so it's just Mommy and the girls today! Alexis kept Mommy up from 3:45am til 7:45am, but Big Sister McKenzie entertained herself this morning and let Mommy sleep until 10:45am. What a sweet Big Sister she is! Hopefully tonight will be a little bit better.
